When I was recovering from my ACL surgery and learning to stunt, Malea made all the difference. Coming in with barely any knowledge on how to group stunt, I was able to jump right into a collegiate group and focus on my technique. Malea helped me learn and perfect my technique on so many skills, from full ups, back handspring ups, to front ariel 1.5 ups. Malea helped me grow so much as a cheerleader, and she serves as an amazing role model and mentor for younger athletes crossing the bridge to becoming a collegiate cheerleaders.

I started working with Malea as a back spot wanting to be a side base. When I started working with her it was my senior year of high school and I thought I had no chance of making any college team. I was learning a new position just months before the tryout process started, so naturally I was discouraged. After just a few months I was doing skills I didn’t even know were possible for me to do. Working with Malea truly helped me so much not only to gain skills for college cheer but it kept me confident going into tryouts and clinics. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for Malea’s stunt privates.

Malea was fantastic to work with! She is a hard worker, knowledgeable in all things cheer related, wants you to succeed, celebrates your wins with you, and doesn’t give up when working on skills. She made the transition from high school to elite level college skills seamless and fun. While she taught me numerous elite skills and improved my technique, I was able to teach her about STUNT. Even though her background was different from STUNT, she picked up the routines and skills with ease. After recovering from a season ending injury my freshman year, she worked with me to build my confidence in my body and my skills while keeping everything fun and low pressure. Malea provided a fun atmosphere, while keeping the focus on learning skills, improving technique, and getting the reps in. Working with her is a big part of how I got to where I am now!
